The Valparaiso University Panhellenic Council hosts a series of programs for members throughout the year. From educational to social programming, the Council works to ensure that all members are being provided an outstanding well-rounded experience during their collegiate years. The following is a brief listing of the programs that are sponsored by the Panhellenic Council.
Educational Programs
Leadership RetreatsThe annual Fraternity and Sorority Leadership Retreat for Chapter Presidents and Council Officers takes place in January at an off-site location. This retreat is where the annual strategic initiates are established by the fraternity and sorority community leaders.
In addition, there is a Mid-Year Leadership retreat in August in addition to the Chapter Officer Roundtables and Training that takes place in August and January each year. |
National Hazing Prevention WeekNational Hazing Prevention Week (NHPW) is an opportunity for campuses, schools, communities, organizations and individuals to raise awareness about the problem of hazing, education others about hazing, and promote the prevention of hazing. HazingPrevention.Org™ is the organizer of National Hazing Prevention Week (NHPW), and the Valpo Panhellenic Council hosts a series of events each year as part of the NHPW.

Life After CollegeIn partnership with Order of Omega, the Panhellenic and Interfraternity Councils host programs specific for men and women who are graduating from Valparaiso University. The educational sessions range from financial planning, to interview etiquette, and a "Life After College" young alumni panel with advice for the graduates.

Social Programming
The Panhellenic Council hosts a series of events as part of the Valparaiso University Welcome Week, including Meet the Greeks, Sorority House Tours, Welcome Week Dance Parties, and the Welcome Week Field Day. Check out the Fraternity and Sorority Life calendar for more information!

Greek Week is an annual celebration of the fraternity and sorority community that takes place in April and is planned and implemented by the Panhellenic and Interfraternity Councils. The 2016 Greek Week packet is available here.
